JOB DESCRIPTION:
Receive goods, sort and pack them into the correct location.
Receives incoming shipments and place them on storage.
Picking and packing orders from pack lists, and printing labels when necessary.
Prepare delivery orders by arranging goods and placing them in the delivery area.
Assists in counting physical inventory and maintain inventory control
Identify damage and report shortage of goods
To highlight to supervisor on any problems encountered in the course of their duties.
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
Maintain proper housekeeping in the warehouse to ensure safe and clean working enviroment and maintain proper records and filing all documents and transactions.
Ensure safe loading and unloading of goods.
Documentation and file management.
Assists to perform all shipping functions, including shipping database update if any and necessary operations support.
Handle import and export documents if any (e.g. delivery order / biling of lading, tax invoice, arrival notice, etc.) to ensure smooth shipment and timely delivery.
Liase with custoers and 3rd party carter for shipment planning and job executions.
Assist to source and select freight forwarders / agents and ensure cost effectiveness and good service level for smooth operations.
Ensure all shipments are delivered on time.
Discuss and review the operation status with customers & management on a timely and regular basis.
Assist in other ad-hoc operational duties where required.
