Responsibilities include:

Responsible for the overall culinary team in the absence of the Executive Chef

Creates a prominent image for Silvester’s restaurant through significant Marketing, Public Relations and Media activities
Actively involved with the restaurant marketing plans in partnership with the Marketing team and key stakeholders
Identifying and develop local partnerships
Food & Beverage activations – ability to execute a calendar of events/activities
Demonstrates affinity for building relationships with a focus on creating exciting and memorable guest experiences
Accountable for achieving financial goals
Actively participates in training and developing the culinary and restaurant associates
This is a full time position requiring shift work and availability over 7 days

The successful applicant:

Prior experience leading an award winning signature restaurant
Hands-on Chef who is passionate about food, wine and the guest experience
Proven culinary management experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organisational skills and attention to detail
Recognised qualifications from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management
Minimum 5 years’ experience
