Responsibilities:
- Patrol the warehouse premises regularly to detect and deter suspicious activity
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats
- Control access to the warehouse by checking credentials of employees, visitors, and vehicles entering and exiting the facility Conduct security checks of incoming and outgoing shipments to prevent theft and unauthorized access Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, and report any unusual or suspicious behavior to management and law enforcement as necessary Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to implement and enforce security procedures and protocols
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, patrols, and activities in daily logs and reports
- Assist with the investigation of security breaches, thefts, and other incidents, and provide testimony and evidence as needed
- Enforce safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the warehouse environment
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Security Supervisor or Warehouse Manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or in a related security role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Valid security license or certification as required by state or local regulations
- Strong observation and surveillance skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure situations and emergencies
- Basic knowledge of security and safety procedures, protocols, and equipment
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
